Catalog images are no different, or show up twice

Some themes hardcode their images into the template files, which means Enhanced Catalog Images for WooCommerce cannot replace them.

Modify The Template File

  1. First of all, create a child theme so your changes are kept when you next update the theme.
  2. Duplicate the file woocommerce/content-product.php from the main theme into your child theme folder.
  3. In this file, the <img> tags are likely hardcoded. Find them, and remove them.
  4. In their place, add the hook that should be there: <?php do_action( 'woocommerce_before_shop_loop_item_title' ); ?>. For reference, this is what the file looks like by default.

You should now see the images with your chosen effect applied. If your images are showing up twice, just follow the steps above, but skip number 4.

If your theme doesn’t have a hardcoded image tag, let me know, we should be able to remove it with a hook.
